Octo-chick by Takoto Octo-chick by Takoto
Miela is her name!
...Until I think of a better one. But I like Miela so far.

She's an Octopus girl/fish girl/Octomaid/etc. Tied to the world my other OCs are in.

I really wanted to draw something semi-humanoid that wasn't a human, and I was going through the monster girl tag on tumblr and I came across octomaids, and I thought, hey I love Octopuses and Maids...

I should have given this a proper background, huh.

The correct Terminology for an Octo-bitch is Scylla.
That's like, what Ursula is.

Well according to mythology, Scyllas are sea monsters with a human woman body (sometimes pretty, usually not),or a mutated woman's body with 6 heads with 4 eyes each, but they also have 4 ugly bear/wolf heads at their pelvises, and a cat tail. She was the counterpart to Charybdis, a girl, and daughter of Gaia and Poseidon, who after winning over land (aka making land water) for her dad, Zeus turned her into a gigantic mouth with flippers, who swallows up people (tl;dr she turned into a whirlpool)
But the Scylla's overall image was made less...uh...chimeraish, so over time she just turned into what you would call an octomaid.

Greek Mythology has some REALLY cool monsters. If you want a cool monster girl to draw, Greek monsters are great.
